ACCURATE & COMPREHENSIVE MEDICAL IMAGING

Pelvic Ultrasound

Specialist, compassionate pelvic ultrasound imaging for both women and men. Accurate evaluation of the reproductive organs, bladder, and surrounding deep pelvic structures.

Understanding Pelvic Ultrasound

A pelvic ultrasound evaluates the organs, vessels, and tissues in your lower abdomen and pelvis. It offers key diagnostic insights using completely non-invasive sound wave technology with zero radiation exposure.

For women, we provide both transabdominal (external) and transvaginal (internal) approaches performed with utmost sensitivity and clinical care. For men, transabdominal scans focus on bladder and prostate health.

Clinical Applications

Common Conditions We Investigate

Lower abdominal symptoms require detailed internal diagnostics. Our highly trained radiologists map structural anomalies across diverse pelvic conditions.

Ovarian Cysts

Detailed mapping, sizing, and characterisation of functional or complex fluid-filled ovarian cysts.

Uterine Fibroids

Locating and measuring benign muscular growths in the uterine wall to manage symptoms.

Endometriosis

Advanced scanning targeting deep infiltrating lesions, pelvic adhesions, and endometrial implants.

Pelvic Pain

Rapid investigation of acute and chronic lower abdominal discomfort or reproductive system pain.

Abnormal Bleeding

Assessing endometrial thickness and cavity structure to investigate irregular or heavy bleeding.

Bladder Assessment

Dynamic imaging of bladder wall thickness, capacity, and post-void residual volumes.

Prostate Assessment

Transabdominal evaluation of prostate volume, contour, and urinary bladder relation.

IUD Localisation

Precise visualization to verify correct location or displacement of intrauterine devices.

How to Prepare for Your Scan

Ensuring ideal preparation helps our medical sonographers capture the clearest structural imaging for your reporting physician.

Full Bladder for Transabdominal Scan

Please drink 1 litre of water finishing 1 hour before your appointment time. Do not empty your bladder. A full bladder acts as an acoustic window.

Empty Bladder for Transvaginal Scan

If an internal transvaginal scan is required, we will ask you to empty your bladder completely right before the scan begins.

Wear Comfortable Loose Clothing

We recommend two-piece clothing for ease of abdominal access. Ensure you bring your medical referral and any previous imaging.
